Ways in Which Salaried Individuals Can Save Income Tax in India

  1. Children education allowance

According to this section, you are eligible for a tax deduction up to INR 25,000 for the premium paid for self and family.   1. Life insurance premium

The amount in your Employee Provident Fund (EPF) is allowed as a deduction under Section 80C. The maximum limit under this section is INR 1.5 lakh. In addition, any investment made in the pension fund is also eligible for a deduction from the income under Section 80C.
